University of Arizona likely to appoint outgoing Temple president

Outgoing Temple University President Ann Weaver Hart could have a new job as early as tomorrow.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports Hart, who last fall announced her plans to leave Temple, could be approved by the Arizona Board of Regents at its meeting Friday. She’d become the University of Arizona’s 21st president.

Hart visited the Tuscon campus Monday as a candidate for the job. Temple is in the middle of its search to replace Hart, whose resignation takes effect June 30.
