Ultimate frisbee joins the ranks of Philadelphia’s professional sport’s teams

Philadelphia’s roster of pro-sports figures is already pretty full, but hey, there’s always room for more. And now, Philly fans will have one more team to cheer…or jeer.

The Spinners, Philly’s newest pro-athletes kick off their season of ultimate disc at Franklin Field. The disks will fly tonight, April 14, at 8pm, when The Spinners go up against The Buffalo Hunters.

Not a legit sport, you say? The American Ultimate Disc League’s website has all the rules and regulations. In case you were wondering. Plus, The Spinners even have its own dance squad: The Fly Girls. And what makes a sport more real-deal than cheerleaders?!
