Two “canine officers” join New Castle County police force
“Max” and “Maverick,” two newly-trained canine officers, will be welcomed into the New Castle County police department this afternoon.
A ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in the gym at the Stanton campus of Delaware Technical and Community College. Their handlers and the four-legged partners underwent a rigorous six-month training program and have been certified by the National Police Canine Association.
