Two killed after motorcycle hits tree in eastern Pa.

    Authorities say two people were killed after their motorcycle crashed into a tree in eastern Pennsylvania.

    The Lehigh County coroner’s office said the motorcycle left the roadway and hit the tree just before 11 p.m. Friday on Route 209 in Lynn Township.

    Fifty-two-year-old David Hummel of Kutztown, the operator of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene less than an hour later.

    The coroner’s office said 51-year-old Suzanne Hummel was pronounced dead just after 6 a.m. Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.
