Two guilty pleas in John Bolaris roofie case

Things are looking sunnier for John Bolaris, and it’s not just the heat wave.

Two women have entered guilty pleas related to charges that they drugged the Fox29 weathercaster and used his credit card to scam him out of more than $40,000.

The women, both in their early 20s and from Estonia and Latvia, have also agreed to testify against as many as 15 other defendants for less jail time for the immigration fraud charges, as the Daily News reports. For doing so, they’ll likely serve less than a year when they’re sentenced in August.

Bolaris, one of almost 90 victims, alleges he was approached by women at a bar in Miami Beach, and after being roofied and having liquor poured down his throat, woke up in a taxi to later find the charges on his credit card. He’s suing American Express to reclaim the damages.
