Three people, including two firefighters, were injured Monday in a midday blaze in the 3600-block of Genesee Drive.

Firefighters arrived shortly after 1:30 p.m. to find heavy smoke billowing from the second-story windows. The flames were under control in less than an hour, but not before three people were injured.

All three were transported to the hospital in stable condition. Authorities are trying to determine if fireworks being stored on the second floor sparked the blaze.
