Tree falls on two cars in Mt. Airy
A tree crashed down on two cars in the first-block of East Durham Street last night during the powerful thunderstorms. Resident Chris Rutledge sent us the photo. He said the Fire Department knocked on his door at 9:30 p.m. last night to see if either of the two damaged cars were his. Fortunately for him his car was not damaged.
“The tree crushed the roof and door of the blue (Toyota?) and broke the back window of the car in front of it (may be more damage). The tree also brought down an overhead wire, we’re not sure but we think it’s a Comcast cable,” he told NewsWorks.
He says the The fire dept put up some yellow tape across the street, closing that portion for the rest of the night.
