Trash talk

    Langhorne residents will be paying more for their trash pick up come January. The borough council decided last night to increase collection fees beginiing next year.

     

    Homeowners will now pay $10 more per quarter, and those living in additional units on properties will pay $8 more. The hikes will provide an extra $21,000 to pay Waste Management, Inc. for collecting the trash, according to an article in the Bucks County Courier Times.

    Waste Management’s recent $469,262.16 to provide trash collection to the borough allows for unlimited garbage bags from each unit. The compnay’s contract with the borough is good for three years.
