Traffic patterns change as next redecking phase of Walt Whitman Bridge begins

Another bridge update to take note of.

While only one walkway remains open on the Ben Franklin Bridge, lane restrictions will continue on the Walt Whitman as the next phase of redecking begins.

Starting tomorrow at 5 a.m., the far right eastbound lane will close for long-term work because, as the Gloucester County Times explains, redecking is a bit involved.

Two more years of work are planned —probably just enough time for another part of the bridge to need maintenance.
