Tougher laws: Animal advocates push for tougher laws on exotic animal ownership

Lawmakers are considering tougher restrictions on the ownership of exotic animals, according to a report from CBS 3.

The news comes after the dangerous release of several exotic animals in Ohio earlier this week.

CBS 3 says lawmakers in Pennsylvania  are calling for tougher regulations on the sale and ownership of exotic animals. According to the report, some lawmakers want to see regulations in Pennsylvania that are similar to those of New Jersey, where private ownership of most categories of large animals is banned.
