Top 4 stories to watch in NW Philly

Here’s a look at what’s to come on NewsWorks this week:

1. More than a year after Monica and Jack Lee won civic support for a new Foodery location in Roxborough, the couple is finally ready to open the craft-beer takeout’s doors. The local company’s third store is scheduled to start serving the community and the city on Dec. 27. Check back next week to learn more about the newest addition to the Ridge Avenue business district.

2. A 7-Eleven in West Oak Lane has become a popular stop for armed robbers. Since April, the conveinience store has been targeted more than five times. Check back next week for some insight into why the store has so regularly popped up on police reports.

3. On Christmas Day, officers with the 14th District will, without a doubt, be working to keep the streets of Northwest Philadelphia safe. But they’ll also be handing out some holiday cheer – literally. Officers will be out delivering gifts to children in the area. Check back next week for more details.
