Toll hiked proposed for Delaware Memorial Bridge

Tolls could rise $1 on the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

The Delaware River and Bay Authority is considering the hike to protect the agency’s bond rating and cover capital improvement costs, the Associated Press reports.

The board will have to public hearings, the first of which is tonight at 7 p.m. at the Vincent A. Julia Center adjacent to the bridge’s toll plaza in New Castle. The second is Thursday at 7 p.m. at Salem Community College Davidow Performing Arts Theater in Carneys Point Township, N.J.
