Time to resign

Jenkintown Council President Sandra Goldman resigned from her position at Monday night’s borough council meeting after a five-year tenure.

Goldman, who served three years as president, said it was simply time to move on, the Glenside News Globe Times Chronicle reports.

Vice President Alyson Dobbs will take over as president and Councilman Dave Davis was appointed vice president, both to unanimous votes.

Goldman’s resignation is effective in February. A replacement council member will have to be chosen by March.
