Three who pleaded guilty to ballpark beating will be sentenced today

The three men who pleaded guilty this fall to the beating death of David Sale Jr. will be sentenced today.

Francis Kirchner, Charles Bowers and Jim Groves pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in October after the judge first declared a mistrial following unexpected witness testimony. Sale was beaten to death in an argument between the three defendants and his own friends outside a Phillies game in 2009.

According to the Associated Press, Kirchner, Bowers and Groves face up to 40 years in prison.
