Three Penn State alumni elected to board of trustees

Three Penn State University alumni have been elected to the school’s board of trustees in the first election following the child sex abuse scandal of former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky and the board’s firing of legendary coach Joe Paterno.

Anthony Lubrano, Ryan McCombie and Adam J. Taliaferro join the board for three-year terms, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
They were among 86 alumni who received enough signatures to get on the ballot.

Many in Happy Valley were outraged when the board fired Paterno last November for not taking enough action on reports that Sandusky had been abusing children. Paterno died in January.
