Three local nursing homes win Pa. excellence awards
Three local nursing homes are winners of the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s “Award for Excellence in Health Care Compliance.”
Foulkeways at Gwynedd and the Meadows at Shannondell, both in Montgomery County; and Pennsylvania Hospital Skilled Care Center in Philadelphia, are being honored for their compliance with state regulations.
“We feel it’s important to inform the public of those facilities that go above and beyond the rest,” Department of Health Secretary Dr. Eli N. Avila said in a prepared statement.
The Schuylkill Center in Schuylkill County is also being recognized. All nursing homes in the state were eligible for the award and did not need to apply. Facilities had to show no state citations over the last three calendar years.
