Temple provost named acting president as search for permanent leader continues

    With President Ann Weaver Hart on her way out, Temple University has named provost Richard Englert acting president.A national search is underway to replace Hart, who announced last fall she would leave Temple after the spring semester. She’ll become president at the University of Arizona.
    The Inquirer reports more than 50 candidates are interested in replacing Hart, and Englert does not want the role permanently. A 12-member search committee is conducting the search for the best candidate.
