‘Taste of the Barrier Island’ to benefit fire company

The best dishes on the northern Ocean County barrier island will be on display next week in Lavallette.

The second annual “Taste of the Barrier Island” will feature dishes from local restaurants on Saturday, April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lavallette firehouse (125 Washington Avenue).

“It’s a sampling of some of the best dishes on the island. There will be plenty of food, drinks, music and many door prizes. All local,” said organizer Erin Ryan.

The event will benefit the Lavallette Fire Company, according to Ryan.
