Take a look inside the sun

Imagine being able to ultrasound the sun. Well, that is becoming a reality since the new Solar Dynamic Observatory has started imaging the star. Launched last week, it will allow scientists to look deep inside the sun and actually all the way out to the other side. Through this imaging we can learn the processes that make this star what it is. Russia is refurbishing an existing launch site in Kazahkstan known as Baikonur launch facility and a launch facility is also being built right here in the states in New Mexico. Also what to see in the night sky this week.
