Sussex County activist to run for GOP chair
The News Journal reports conservative Sussex County activist Don Ayotte will run for GOP Chairman in April.
He wants to challenge current chair Tom Ross. Ross has not announced whether he would run again. He says he wants to wait until after Thursday’s election
Ayotte says the party needs to be unified going into the 2012 elections. He was a supporter of Christine O’Donnell. Ross has been party chair since 2008. He was critical of O’Donnell during her campaign and even after her upset victory of Mike Castle in the race for the U.S. Senate.
