Sussex Co., Del., train derailment forces home evacuation

    Police, firefighters and other officials are on the scene of a train derailment in a sparsely populated area of Sussex County, Del., at 9:39 a.m. Homes in the vicinity have been evacuated.

    Eight cars derailed just south of the town of Bridgeville. One car carried propane; the others carried gravel.

    ABC 6 in Philadelphia reports that the company that will remove the derailed train is not expected to arrive until 4:30 p.m.
