Summer goes out in style at South Seaside Park beach party [photos]
A festive crowd ended the last weekend of summer on a happy note in South Seaside Park Sunday afternoon.
On the beach in front of Chef Mike’s ABG restaurant next to Island Beach State Park, partygoers enjoyed land and sea dishes, craft beer, and heavenly desserts as part of the second annual “Endless Summer Party,” hosted by Chef Mike’s ABG.
The beach party featured donated food, beer, and wine from local restaurants, speciality shops, and breweries. Live music from Uke & Drum filled the air.
A portion of the event’s proceeds went to Hometown Heroes, a local non-profit organization that has been actively involved in Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts. Representatives from the People’s Pantry Relief Center were also in attendance as well as Savoring the Shore, a non-profit organization that donates all proceeds from a cookbook comprised of recipes from Jersey Shore chefs to benefit Superstorm Sandy recovery and rebuilding efforts.
