Student threats prompt indefinite searches at Daniel Boone Area High School

Students at Daniel Boone Area High School can expect to be searched upon entering the building thanks to whomever wrote racial slurs on a bathroom wall yesterday.

The Mercury reports the searches — backpack searches, not pat-downs — are a way to find the student or students who used the bathroom wall to make racial slurs against African Americans and Caucasians.
The school says the activity began on Facebook and carried over into the building.

The searches are to continue indefinitely as the school comes up with a more comprehensive plan.
