More than 7 million Americans have signed up for Obamacare in spite of the ongoing war Republicans have waged against it.
The Affordable Care Act is already helping lots of us. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, millions have received preventive-care like mammograms and flu shots, for free.
Let’s not forget that the Republicans desperately fought Social Security, Medicare, and especially Medicaid when they were introduced. Thanks to the Supreme Court, states have been allowed to opt out of the medicaid expansion provision of the ACA, and 24 have done so. It seems that providing for the most needy of our citizens gives the GOP intolerable migraine headaches. Thanks to Obamacare, they’re covered.
