Special edition of the Urban Sustainability Forum focuses on the launch of Green 2015: An Action Plan for the first 500 Acres.
A special edition of the Urban Sustainability Forum will be held Tuesday. The event focuses on the launch of Green 2015: An Action Plan for the first 500 Acres. Commissioned by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation in cooperation with the Philadelphia City Planning Commission and produced by PennPraxis, Green2015 is an action plan to add 500 acres of greened public space in the city by 2015. This goal, established by Greenworks Philadelphia, the City of Philadelphia’s sustainability plan, is designed to provide park space to residents who currently do not live within a half-mile walk of a park. Contained within the Equity section of Greenworks, the 500 acre goal is a minimum target that will advance the objective of making Philadelphia more equitable, livable, and competitive.
Green2015: An Action Plan for the First 500 Acres
Date: Tuesday, December 7th
