A traditional Thanksgiving dinner is open to everyone this Thursday in Seaside Heights.

Simon’s Soup Kitchen is hosting its annual holiday dinner, featuring turkey, stuffing, and all of fixings and pies, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Grant Avenue in Seaside Heights.

The non-profit organization normally serves dinner every Tuesday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the church.

“This is an opportunity for those who regularly come to our soup kitchen, as well as anyone else who would like to join us, to enjoy the food and fellowship that are so much a part of Thanksgiving,” said Simon’s Soup Kitchen Executive Director John Salemi, Sr.

A group of 25 volunteers will serve the feast.

“For many who can’t afford to prepare a meal of their own, this is an opportunity to share a traditional dinner with others,” Salemi said. “Each year, those who join us express their gratitude for such a hearty feast prepared by our volunteers. For each of us, it is a reminder of the many things for which we can be thankful.”
