Shore leaders cheer return of a tourism marketing campaign

You’d think having a hit TV series devoted to you would drive enough business to the Jersey Shore, but the elimination of funding for marketing for the peak season hit business owners harder than a fist-bump.

But things will be different this year. As reported in the Sunday Inquirer, the state plans to restore a national spring-summer tourism marketing campaign that Shore business owners say is critical to a successful season.

The Division of Travel and Tourism will announce in March the launch of a multimedia campaign, which will include a vacation guide highlighting attractions throughout New Jersey.
