A 7-year-old boy was struck by a car late Tuesday afternoon in Cape May County, authorities say.

A New Jersey State Police spokesman say the child was with his mother when he was struck in an Upper Township neighborhood around 5:30 p.m.

A medevac was called to transport the boy to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. He reportedly had non-life threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.

The driver stopped and cooperated with police.
