Service and engineer unions reach contract agreement with Christie
In case you’d forgotten, contract agreements with New Jersey’s public union employees have an issue since the summer.
But alas, a breakthrough. NJ.com reports Gov. Chris Christie has reached an agreement with two of the unions: the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, AFL-CIO Local 195, and the Service Employees International Union, Local 518.
Both unions still need to vote on the four-year deal, which includes no salary increases in the first two years.
