Serious injuries for pilot who crashed plane en route from Philly

    The pilot of plane flying from Philadelphia’s Northeast airport to Manassas, Va., after the plane crashed into the roof of an apartment building in Herndon, Va.

    Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said the plane crashed after it had electrical problems and the engine cut out.The nose of the plane landed in the living room of one of the apartments, and a 33-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

    Pilot William Larson,  61, of Vienna, Va., remains hospitalized, and passenger Tache L. Alejandro of Orlando, Fla., was treated at the scene. The two were taking infra-red photographs for the aerial photography company they work for.
