Brandywine Festival of the Arts
The Brandywine Festival of the Arts is an annual arts festival in Wilmington, Delaware. Each year, 20,000 visitors flock to Brandywine Park’s Josephine Gardens for an end-of-summer celebration. The BFA has something for everyone: over 250 artists exhibiting in a wide range of styles and mediums, live music performances, children’s activities, and a selection of local food vendors. Take a moment to reflect and remember. Join us on a peaceful walk in the Labyrinth in the Anthony N. Fusco Reservoir in remembrance of the lives that were lost during the September 11, 2001 attacks. Delaware Art Museum, September 11th, 1 p.m.
The Dover Symphony Orchestra, in conjunction with Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, will perform a special free concert on Sunday, September 11, at 1 p.m. at the Rollins Center. The concert will be in remembrance of those lost on 9/11/01 as well as a tribute to first responders, including fire and police personnel and our military. The 2nd Fall into Jazz concert will take place on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover, Delaware. The headliner will be internationally acclaimed guitarist and vocalist, Nick Colionne. Opening for Colionne will be The Benjie Porecki Band with Special Guest Jazz Vocalist Lori Anne Williams.
