September 7th – 14th: Floral arranging workshop, REO Speedwagon, Jazz, and Read A Movie

An Apple A Day

Not all floral arrangements must be filled with “just flowers.”  In this fun workshop, we create a beautiful arrangement with apples and other fall favorites that make a perfect centerpiece for a fall dinner table.  All make-and-take materials included. Delaware Center for Horticulture, September 12th, 5:30 P.M.

REO Speedwagon

REO Speedwagon is a pop/rock powerhouse.  Over their extensive career, they’ve sold 40 million records with more than a dozen top 40 hits like “Keep on Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” The Grand, September 14th, 8 P.M.

Sizzlin’ Jazz

Two great jazz performers come together for this concert. Jessy J and her band will headline the show as she demonstrates her Latin heritage with powerhouse rhythms as a soul-inspiring performer. Her special musical guest will be the very warm and sensual Kim Waters, often referred to as the romantic pied piper of Urban Jazz.  Schwartz Center for the Arts, September 8th, 8 P.M.

Read A Movie

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society and the Rehoboth Beach Public Library invite film enthusiasts to join the latest twist on the book club concept. Every month Read a Movie club members will read in advance a little-known short story that provided the basis for a very well-known film. Then, on the second Wednesday of every month, beginning at 4:00 pm, the club will meet at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library to screen the film and share thoughts about how well—or not so well—the story was expanded to the big screen. Rehoboth Beach Public Library, September 12th, 4 P.M.
