SEPTA putting smart card fare system on public display

Though some details of SEPTA’s smart card fare system plan need to be worked out, the authority will host a public session next month for people to ask questions and take a look at a display.

As PlanPhilly reports, SEPTA riders can browse the displays April first. SEPTA is hoping for a contract by early summer to begin the years-long process of implementing a system that would allow riders to pay chip-bearing cards.
