It will get a little easier to use SEPTA’s Market Frankford and Broad Street lines to see Pope Francis.

SEPTA’s Gerri Williams says they are adding instead of subtracting stops on the Market Frankford line for those headed into town on the Saturday and Sunday of the papal weekend.

“The stops that we already had 69th Street, 30th Street, 2nd Street and Frankford Transportation Center,” she said.  “We’ve also added 60th Street, 52nd Street, 34th Street, 8th Street, Girard, Huntington, Allegheny, Erie-Torresdale and the Arrott Transportation Center.”

Williams says they are also adding stops on the Broad Street Line at North Phildelphia, Erie and the Olney Transportation Center.

And while new stations are not being added to regional rail service that weekend, she says those who bought September monthly TrailPasses or TransPasses will be eligible to get a $5 one-time credit when purchasing their next monthly pass.

SEPTA is also offering credits to those buying weekly passes covering Sept. 21 through 27. Weekly TransPass customers will be eligible to receive a $2 credit. Weekly TrailPasses (regional rail) from all zones can receive a $10 credit.
