SEPTA holds public meeting to discuss R3 station upgrades

With renovations of the Secane and Primos stations looming, SEPTA will hold a public meeting tonight to give residents and Delaware County officials more information.

The Media/Elwyn (R3) stations are on the list of 17 Region Rail stations to be upgraded with federal stimulus funds, as SEPTA outlined two years ago.

The Secane project will cost an estimated $20 million, and Primos will see about $14 million in upgrades, the Delaware County Times reports. Plans for both include platform adjustments and additional parking.
