SEPTA adds extra service for WaWa Welcome America July 4th festivities

With all the festivities on the Parkway today, catching a cab, finding a parking spot or traversing the crowds, is going to be a test of patience. But SEPTA is doing it’s best to help ease the travel tensions with additional bus and rail routes around the area.

SEPTA will be adding trips on both the Market-Frankford and Broad Street lines and adding some service to bus and trolley routes heading into Philadelphia. But keep in mind that Market-Frankford and Broad Street Line train service ends at approximately 12:30 a.m. After that it’s Night Owl bus service only.

SEPTA will also add trips to the Regional Rail lines after the night’s events with 15 trains departing from Suburban Station between 11:30 p.m. and 12:35 a.m., reported Delco Times.

Unfortunately, there will also be interrupted routes. Check SEPTA’s Independence Day Service Information page for a full list of detours here. Detours are also “updated constantly” here.
