The Coast Guard has suspended its search off Monmouth County for a commercial fisherman from Virginia who apparently fell overboard.

Thirty-year-old Renee Lopez of Newport News, Va., was reported missing from the fishing vessel Yvonne Michelle approximately 45 miles east of the Manasquan Inlet around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The Coast Guard dispatched two MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crews, a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew, and an 87-foot Coast Guard Cutter Mako after Lopez was reported missing, The Star-Ledger reported

The search ended Thursday morning after the Coast Guard searched more than 240 square miles for approximately 22 hours without finding any sign of Lopez.
