Tackle your holiday gift list at the Schuylkill Center this weekend

With the holiday season in full gear, many of us are scrambling through malls and gift shops to find that perfect present for our loved ones.

But how about something different this year? The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is offering an alternative.

On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., local artists and crafters will be on hand at the Hagy’s Mill location to conduct kid-friendly workshops on how to make your own gifts and holiday decorations. A number of their handmade gifts, made from natural materials, will also be on sale.

The workshops include wreath making, paper making, decoupage, light switch plates, holiday cards, upcycles ornaments and handsewn gifts.
