Schuylkill River projects to share water quality improvement grant

Projects like the Albert M. Greenfield School stormwater playground are something the Schuylkill River area could see more of with the help of a grant being announced today.

Seven projects meant to improve water quality will receive $400,000 in Schuylkill River Restoration Fund grants. Details will come later this morning from the Schuylkill River National & State Heritage Area, Delaware River Basin Commission, the Philadelphia Water Department and Exelon Nuclear.

The Greenfield project at 22nd and Chestnut streets will be the setting for today’s announcement.
