Four Catholic schools say they’ve won appeals to stay open

Official word is expected until tomorrow, but a handful of Catholic schools that appealed the Blue Ribbon Commission’s closure recommendations say they’re staying open under the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Fox29 reports Holy Trinity in Morrisville and St. Ephrem in Bensalem have announced their successful appeals. As has St. Francis de Sales in Aston, according to the Delaware County Times.

St. Laurentius in Fishtown tells our Lizz Fiedler that students started cheering when they got word their appeal was approved.
