School tells boy to wash off anti-bin Laden face paint

One fifth-grader’s celebration of Osama bin-Laden’s death was short-lived yesterday. Conner Tressler showed up for school in Pennsylvania’s Central Dauphin School District with his face painted in honor of the occasion.

The Associated Press reports the American flag, date of bin Laden’s death and the letters U.S.A. were a little much for the school.

Tressler’s mother removed him from school for the day when officials decided the face paint wasn’t appropriate in the school environment.
