School closings create special election setback

With a special election scheduled for Philadelphia’s 185th District Tuesday, preparations were set to begin today. And then the snow came.

WHYY’s Lizz Fiedler has spoken to the Committee of Seventy, who says thanks to school closings, voting booths will have to be delivered Monday. They were scheduled to be delivered to the schools today. Tuesday’s special election will find a replacement for deceased State Rep. Robert Donatucci.

Lizz will have more on the story later.
