School blood drive at William Penn

William Penn High School students hope to set a record for largest one-day high school blood drive.  The school set a record for the sixth year in a row last year when 188 donors took part.  There are 275 appointments for this year’s drive, and school leaders hope to fill as many spots as possible.

Across the Delmarva Peninsula, more than 73 high schools and 13 colleges held blood drives for the Delmarva Blood Bank during the last school year.  The school drives make up 11% of the blood supply on the peninsula.
