99 percent of NJ schools to be reopened by today

The New Jersey Education Department says that by today, 99 percent of schools will be open. That percentage has been rising steadily since the state’s schools were all shut down two weeks earlier after the storm crashed into the shore.

Education officials say that there are just 12 buildings that will not be open by Wednesday. Most students from those schools have been displaced to others nearby.

The trouble spots remain along the coast line and in the vicinity of the flooded Hackensack River.
