Sandusky’s adopted son alleges abuse, trial deliberations enter 2nd day

The jury is deliberating over each of the 48 counts against Jerry Sandusky for the alleged sexual abuse of ten boys.  The jury is confined to the courthouse during deliberations, which went into the night yesterday before they were taken to a local hotel.  But outside, the spotlight on Sandusky intensified — if that’s possible.

Attorneys for one of Sandusky’s adopted sons, Matt, confirmed their client told them he also suffered sexual abuse from the former Penn State defensive coordinator.

In a written statement, the lawyers said they arranged a meeting between Matt Sandusky and prosecutors. The state attorney general’s team had no comment on whether they had met with Matt Sandusky.The jury took a dinner break and at a pub down the street came the call for takeout: 35 meal orders to be delivered to the courthouse.

The order so flustered a young bartender she dropped a tray on her way out to the dining floor, sending glasses of beer and soda crashing to the floor.
