Salem warning sirens to be tested today
A quarterly test of the Salem – Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations alert and notification system is scheduled for today in Delaware.
The 37 sirens within a ten-mile radius of the south Jersey complex will sound for three-to-five minutes between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. A test message of the Emergency Alert System will also be sent, according to the Delaware Emergency Management Agency.
