Residents near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst may hear “booms” and feel “rumbles” through Saturday.

The G Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment will be conducting field artillery training at the Dix ranges today and Saturday between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., according to a military press release.

“During this time, Joint Base and community residents may experience ground shaking and considerable noise, especially during overcast weather conditions,” the release said.

“Joint Base MDL works hard to minimize the impact training may have on surrounding communities. We appreciate your patience as our Marines conduct this essential training, which ultimately helps to ensure the readiness of America’s fighting force.”
