Roxborough High student murdered near his home

A Roxborough High School student was fatally shot last night while walking near his home. He’s the second student from the school to be murdered in less than a month.

NBC10 reports Rashawn “Shawnee” Anderson was shot in the neck while he walked through his apartment complex on the 3200-block of McMichael Street.

Anderson, 18, was a basketball star at the school. Police are still investigating a motive and are searching for possible suspects. We’ll bring you the story from the school’s basketball game today against South Philly High, which Anderson would have played in.
