Roundup: Development issues Philadelphia City Council discussed yesterday

Yes, City Council does have other things to do besides find a way to help fund the School District of Philadelphia. There are a number of zoning matters on the table, for example, that need to get worked out.

NewsWorks partner PlanPhilly has a handy roundup of the topics Council moved on yesterday, which span from river to river.

    Here are a couple highlights:

Council unanimously voted to allow billboard owners to relocate their I-95 billboards after the highway’s reconstruction without going through the normal permitting process.
Also unanimously passed was a bill to create and regulate a sidewalk vending area on West Philadelphia’s 52nd Street corridor.
