Robbery suspect uses hairstyle to defeat charges

It wasn’t DNA, an eyewitness or sloppy prosecution that cleared Timothy Corbett as a robbery suspect. It was his wiry hair.

A Bucks County jury found him innocent yesterday on charges of robbery and terroristic threats at a Bensalem convenience store last spring.
The Associated Press and Bucks County Courier Times report what cinched the case was Corbett’s hair. His attorney pulled on it to show that the stiff locks were nothing like those of the tousled tresses on the suspect seen in the surveillance video.

It might be hard to style, but Corbett’s hair is good for something. Of course, this means the real suspect is likely still out there somewhere — sporting some really good hair.
